When NOVA participants are trained and ready to go to work, they are linked back to the business community. Employers love the NOVA program and most especially their graduates who are excited and ready to go to work.
Recognizing the importance of a skilled and trained workforce to the business community, in 2009 the Monroe Chamber of Commerce and NOVA Workforce Institute of Northeast Louisiana joined forces.
Eleven years and several hundred employer visits later, this partnership continues to flourish as NOVA has served more than 1800 people in the region, and our employers have gained skilled and productive employees.
Both NOVA and the Chamber are committed to identifying and addressing the business community’s ongoing workforce needs. The goal of both organizations is to ensure that Northeast Louisiana employers have the skilled and trained employees they need in order to be productive and profitable. Both the Chamber and NOVA understand that as more people go to work, our community becomes more prosperous.
This partnership is a true example of the Chamber’s Mission…
“Lead in the creation of an environment in which our businesses thrive.”
